Summary:

• Provided expert testimony related to hydrocarbon contamination of properties and alleged natural resource injuries along Calcasieu Estuary in Louisiana.

• Provided expert support and/or testimony related to human-use damage claims at the following sites: Fox River/Green Bay, St. Lawrence River, Lake Ontario, Lake Hartwell, and confidential sites in Georgia, North Carolina, Michigan, and Indiana.

• Provided expert testimony in a natural resource damage assessment claim related to a pipeline rupture in Kansas, including hydrocarbon toxicity assessment and performance of a Habitat Equivalency Analysis. Provided expert support to three law firms representing a chemical manufacturer with a natural resource damage claim associated with chronic releases of DDT to coastal areas.

• Provided expert support to a mining company related to natural resource damages claim due to chronic releases of arsenic, selenium and mercury.

• Provided support to an oil exploration and refining company related to natural resource damages claim due to chronic release of petroleum hydrocarbons to freshwater and coastal habitats.

• Provided expert testimony in federal court on the economic value of damages arising from a ground water contamination at the South Valley Superfund Site in Albuquerque New Mexico. Testimony rebutted the basis for the state?s claim for approximately $4 billion in damages, and provided an alternative theory for conducting damage assessments for ground water that implied minimal damages, if any.
