Southwest Florida Water Management District Regional Water Supply Plans

Summary: The Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) contracted Cardno ENTRIX to assist in the preparation of Regional Water Supply Plans (RWSPs) for four regions of the District. A regional water supply plan is required by Florida statutes to determine water demand and sources of supply for a 20-year planning period. The SWFWMD--one of five regional water management districts in Florida--covers all or part of 16 counties in southwest Florida and contains a population of over 4 million residents.

To date, Cardno ENTRIX has researched, edited, updated, and provided quality assurance and control assistance on several chapters of the RWSPs including population/water use projections, land use analysis, hydrogeologic and physical background of the District, and a water resources inventory.
