Client: Soboba Band of Luiseno Indians
Location: San Jacinto, CA
Summary: As part of a larger Comprehensive Water Plan, Cardno ENTRIX has conducted numerous feasibility studies on varied economic development opportunities on the Soboba Indian Reservation. Cardno ENTRIX analyzed the regional economic impacts generated by the operation of the Soboba Casino, including direct and indirect economic output, personal income, and employment effects. Estimated the future impacts resulting from economic development options to be funded by money generated from the casino, including agricultural development and a golf course.
Cardno ENTRIX performed preliminary, reconnaissance analysis of the economics of investing in a golf course on the Soboba Reservation in southern California. The analysis included a study of supply and demand factors and financial analyses of three potential locations.
Cardno ENTRIX prepared a financial analysis of a potential joint venture citrus operation that the Soboba Band of Mission Indians, California, was considering for investment. This operation would be maintained on currently leased agricultural lands on the reservation, but jointly owned by the private citrus operator and the Band. Cardno ENTRIX made recommendations based on analysis of the profitability of the venture.
