Economic Analysis for the Upper Missouri River Breaks National Monument Resource Management Plan and EIS

Summary: Cardno ENTRIX provided economic analysis for the Upper Missouri River Breaks National Monument, which includes about 375,000 acres of public land in north central Montana. The economic analysis was used in the course of developing a Resource Management Plan (RMP). The RMP documents the extensive land, energy, wildlife, and other resrouces in the area and develops a plan for the use of those resources. Cardno ENTRIX also completed an EIS for the project. Base economic conditions and recent trends for the region were characterized, as well as potential impacts of alternative strategies for managing land and other resources to effectively integrate human use with protection of listed species and other resources.
