REACh Extended Safety Data Sheets

Summary: Cardno ENTRIX was hired to provide a client with accurate assessments of exposure scenarios which client then generated into Consumer Safety Reports (CSR).

The exposure scenarios are found in the latter sections (9 and 10) of the CSR. This provides data that describe how the substance is manufactured or used during its life-cycle and how the manufacturer or importer controls recommends others to control exposures of humans and the environment. This is required on safety data sheets (SDS's) for REACh compliance.

The client had 35 pure substances. They requested assessment of the exposure scenarios (ES) within CSR and entry of the necessary values into a template they provided that interfaces directly with Technidata for e-SDS production. Each substance has anywhere from 5-13 ES. Cardno ENTRIX staff worked directly with a toxicologist and lead chemist within the client company to ensure client standards. Steady communication between Cardno ENTRIX and client staff ensured that consensus was reached and that work concluded in time for REACh submission.
