EIS for Kinder Morgan Rockies Express Pipeline Project

Client: ICF International/FERC

Location: Missouri, Illinois, Indiana and Ohio

Summary: As a subcontractor to ICF International, Cardno ENTRIX assisted the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) in the preparation of an EIS for the eastern phase of Kinder Morgan?s Rockies Express Pipeline Project. The proposed project involves the construction and operation of a new interstate natural gas pipeline and appurtenant facilities in Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio. These facilities would consist of 635 miles of 42-inch-diameter natural gas pipeline; 5 new compressor stations; approximately 40 mainline valves; and 20 interconnections. Cardno ENTRIX assisted ICF International and the FERC with the assessment of stakeholder concerns identified at the project open houses and scoping meetings during the pre-filing period. Cardno ENTRIX also participated in interagency coordination meetings, including meetings with the Illinois Department of Agriculture regarding the development of an Agricultural Impact Mitigation Agreement to be used to mitigate construction activities through the more than 500 miles of agricultural land crossed by the proposed pipeline route.
