Summary: Cardno ENTRIX has been retained to provide strategic and technical input in a cooperative NRDA process. Efforts to date have focused on providing strategic input to the client, providing technical expertise in the ecological, human service, and restoration technical working groups, designing and implementing biological injury studies, designing and implementing focus groups, intercept surveys, and other scoping activities to evaluate potential human service losses, and identifying potential restoration projects. Other services underway include reviewing ongoing and planned Trustee investigations and studies, independent estimation of the potential natural resource and human service injuries, quantifying (scaling) potential increases in services gained through restoration to offset ecological injuries, and developing methods to quantify the potential value of restoration projects to offset human service losses using conjoint and other choice-based estimation methods. The efforts will lead to restoration-based settlement discussions.
