ENTRIX Welcomes Rick Cantrell

Following a distinguished career of public service to the state of Florida, Rick Cantrell now brings his 38 years of environmental and regulatory knowledge to our ENTRIX Tallahassee office. During his tenure with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Rick has held the positions of; District Biologist, District Permitting supervisor, Administrator of the Wetland Delineation Section, Director of the DEP South District office and Deputy Director of the Division of Water Resources Management. He was instrumental in the development of the present Florida wetland delineation methodology and in the effort that led to the legislative ratification of that methodology. Rick also led the efforts that produced the Florida Wetlands Delineation Manual and the Florida Wetland Plants Identification Manual. Most recently Rick's efforts have been directed towards improving and streamlining the regulatory program for mining in Florida including placing a greater emphasis on the protection and restoration of streams. He also headed the DEP's efforts to complete the legislatively mandated Cumulative Impact Study of the Peace River Basin and the subsequent Peace River Basin Resource Management Plan.
