ENTRIX Tapped To Help Judge Imagine H2O $100,000 Prize Competition
The worldwide search is on for the best water business plans that help save energy.
ENTRIX CEO and President, Todd Williams, was invited by Imagine H2O to serve on its panel of judges for this year's global competition for the best water business plan. The contest attracts entrepreneurs, investors, academics and inventors from around the world.
Founded in 2007 at Harvard Business School Imagine H2O has grown into a national non-profit dedicated to turning the world's water problems into business opportunities and tangible solutions by helping entrepreneurs get great ideas to market. While sizeable cash prizes attract top talent and harvest water innovations the non-profit takes its approach even further. Imagine H2O places winners into an intensive incubator program, providing start-up enterprises critical access to capital, mentoring and a broad network of experts and potential customers.
"ENTRIX is delighted to support the important work of Imagine H2O, and I am honored to represent the firm on this distinguished panel", Mr. Williams said. "It is inspiring to be a part of competition designed to solve pressing social and technical issues, while turning new ideas into new businesses." He added, "While only one business plan will take top honors we all win when the world is better off through the innovation of many people."
This is Imagine H2O's second annual competition, and the 2010 challenge is The Water-Energy Nexus: Water Businesses that Save Energy. The inaugural competition received over 50 worldwide entries and with an even higher purse, this year's challenge promises to attract additional entrepreneurs and generate even more break-through ideas. The competition opens September 1 and winners will be announced early next year. To learn more, please visit www.imagineh2o.org or contact Amy Logan at amy@amylogan.com or 415.419.5557.
