Cardno ENTRIX is pleased to announce that Jeff Mengler has joined the team in our Barrington, IL office as a Senior Project Scientist. Mr. Mengler is a botanist and wetland ecologist with experience in watershed planning, wetland delineation, storm water management, listed species surveys and permitting. During his 18-year tenure at the US Fish and Wildlife Service field office, he was the lead advisor for the development of the Habitat Conservation Plan (HCP) for the federally-endangered Hine's emerald dragonfly, contributed to the Recovery Plan for that species, and was the and co-chair of the mitigation working group for the I-355 extension project. Mr. Mengler also authored a Native Plant Guide and Advanced Identification of significant wetlands in Kane and McHenry Counties. He will continue in his leadership roles with the Fox River Ecosystem Partnership and Chicago Wilderness, where he has chaired Habitat Restoration, Natural Resources Management, and Green Infrastructure initiatives. Mr. Mengler will support Cardno ENTRIX's growth in the regional water resources and natural resources management markets.
