Cardno ENTRIX, Inc. expands its advisory offerings in the area of land and natural resource asset management providing further value-added services to owners of large land portfolios.

On September 21, 2009, Chris Olson, C.P.G. will join Cardno ENTRIX as Senior Consultant for Land Asset Management after a 29-year career with BP Amoco, where, as Manager of Real Estate Reuse, he was responsible for globally managing and developing divestment and risk mitigation strategies for a portfolio of more than 50,000 acres of surplus land assets across the BP Group.

Chris will join the team of Cardno ENTRIX natural resource economists, scientists, engineers and strategic business solutions staff. With this team, he will provide support to Cardno ENTRIX clients by guiding them through the complexities of impaired land asset evaluations and developing value-based repositioning and risk mitigation strategies for corporations and other large landowners looking to unlock trapped asset value from their land asset portfolios.

Chris is uniquely qualified to make an important impact in this expanding practice area at Cardno ENTRIX. For the past five years, he successfully led a global effort to inventory and prioritize BP's environmentally impaired, non-operating lands, and develop effective divestment strategies to reposition these properties into new, appropriate economic uses.

According to Cardno ENTRIX CEO, Todd Williams, I am thrilled Chris is joining our Cardno ENTRIX team. He brings strategic and tactical expertise that will be invaluable to our large landholding clients seeking to maximize value through combined real estate, business and natural resource management. Throughout his career, Chris has developed an extensive relationship network in the brownfield redevelopment arena and is a recognized industry expert through speaking engagements and advisory board roles on the National Brownfield Association, BNA's Environmental Due Diligence Guide, and RTM Communications and Environmental Bankers Association. He is also a frequent writer for Brownfield News and Sustainable Development.

Personally, this is an exciting time for me, says Olson. I want to take the experience I've gained on environmentally impaired property transactions, risk transfer mechanisms, and portfolio analysis to identify significant value propositions for Cardno ENTRIX's existing and future clients. Cardno ENTRIX is the premier environmental consulting company in the U.S. and joining them provides me the unique ability to combine the natural resource or eco-valuation of lands into the land portfolio assessment process to provide even higher value repositioning solutions for our clients.

Chris may be contacted at the Cardno ENTRIX-Barrington, Illinois office at (847)277-2850.
