Cardno ENTRIX welcomes John A. Goolsby, CEP to their Riverview, Florida office as Senior Project Scientist. John has over thirty years of experience as an environmental scientist in both private consulting and state government. His duties have primarily included wetlands identification, environmental planning, and coordination with various federal, state and local environmental regulatory agencies on wetland impact permitting, project feasibility studies, environmental constraints analyses and threatened and endangered species assessment and permitting. He has extensive experience in wetland creation and mitigation design. He most recently was the Director of Environmental Services at Heidt and Associates, Inc. in Tampa, where he worked for nearly 25 years.
Mr. Goolsby graduated from Florida State University in 1978. He then became a staff biologist at Conservation Consultants, Inc. in Palmetto, Florida, where he specialized in wetland jurisdictional determinations, impact analysis, wetland restoration planning, land use mapping, environmental permit acquisition, and DRI production.
In 1984, he became the lead Environmental Scientist for the Surface Water Permitting Section of the Southwest Florida Water Management District, where he had the opportunity to formulate policy and implement the new regulatory program.
