Featured Staff Profile - Neal Brody
Neal Brody is an Cardno ENTRIX Vice President and Technical Director. Mr. Brody possesses over 20 years of experience working with clients and agencies to address complex environmental and natural resource issues.
Prior to joining Cardno ENTRIX, Mr. Brody worked for over 8 years as a Director at LECG, an economic and financial analysis firm, providing expert testimony and litigation support to leading law firms and public and private entities. From 1996 through 2000, Mr. Brody served as Senior Environmental Attorney for the Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO) at its corporate headquarters in Los Angeles.
During a portion of that time, Mr. Brody served as Chairman of the American Petroleum Institute's Natural Resource Damages (NRD) Litigation Committee. Prior to joining ARCO, Mr. Brody was a Deputy Attorney General for Hazardous Waste Enforcement in New Jersey. Mr. Brody's primary area of expertise is in addressing complex damages issues associated with hydrocarbon and hazardous waste releases in oil spill, Superfund and contaminated sediment cases. In the past two years alone he has worked on the quantification of response costs, property damages and NRD in more than 20 cases involving claims in excess of $50 million. His work on NRD cases ranges from determining a preliminary estimate of damages to preparation of expert reports for use at trial.
Typically, Mr. Brody's work involves the quantification and analysis of environmental claims and liabilities either in monetary terms or in restoration metrics. Mr. Brody holds a bachelor's degree from Wesleyan University and a law degree from Duke University.
