ENTRIX Merges with International Leader in Physical & Social Infrastructure

Merger with Cardno Limited expands global reach Houston, TX. (June 9, 2010) ENTRIX has joined forces with international firm and Australian based Cardno Limited in a merger that takes effect today. The merger with Cardno, a professional services firm founded in 1945 in Brisbane, Australia, means that ENTRIX, a 615-person environmental and natural resource management consulting firm becomes a key part of an international industry leader with a combined resource base of 3,650 staff working on projects in more than 70 countries. Southeastern Lincoln County Habitat Conservation Plan Signing Ceremony

The culmination of several years of work concluded on May 5, 2010, in Pioche, Nevada, with the signing of the Section 10 permits of the Federal Endangered Species Act (ESA) for the Southeastern Lincoln County Habitat Conservation Plan (SLCHCP). Lisa Mash, from our Concord office, attended the ceremony on behalf of Cardno ENTRIX which took place in the historic Thompson Opera House and was preceded by a Dutch-Oven lunch provided by the Lincoln County Chapter of the Future Farmers of America. Cardno ENTRIX provided services to Lincoln County, Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR), City of Caliente, BLM and USFWS to develop the SLCHCP, associated NEPA document, and Implementing Agreement to obtain incidental coverage for the federally-listed desert tortoise and southwestern willow flycatcher under Section 10(a)(1)(b) of the ESA from USFWS. AAEE 2010 Excellence in Environmental Engineering Competition

On behalf of Cardno ENTRIX, Lloyd Horvath, P.E., of our Fort Myers office, received an Award for the 2010 AAEE Excellence in Environmental Engineering Competition for one of our water resource projects. Our winning project, submitted in the category of Environmental Sustainability, the Marco Island Aquifer Storage and Recovery System, was awarded the Grand Prize at the AAEE Awards luncheon on April 28, 2010. Judging criteria of project submittals were based on an integrated project approach, quality, originality and innovation, complexity, and contribution to social and economic advancement. This award also made Cardno ENTRIX eligible to submit to the International Water Association's 2010 Project Innovation Awards, which will not occur until later this year. Cardno ENTRIX Participates in Great American Cleanup

A dedicated group of staff, led by Bill Carey from the Riverview, Florida office, volunteered their time early on a Saturday morning cleaning up garbage and other debris from one of Florida's coastlines around the Tampa Bay Area. The event that took place on April 17, 2010 was part of the Great American Cleanup program in which Cardno ENTRIX was a sponsor supporting the cause. The Great American Cleanup is a *Keep America Beautiful Program and known as the nation's largest community improvement program. Our staff volunteers gathered at a location near the Port of Tampa and cleared out trash creating countless garbage bags, distinguishing all recyclable material. Along with a degree in Marine Science from the Florida Institute of Technology, Sharon brings more than 13 years of experience in the environmental sciences, coastal ecosystems management and regulatory processes in both the public and private sector. Sharon has former work experience with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, the US Army Corps of Engineers, the South Florida Water Management District and TetraTech EC, Inc. She has a track record of developing strong client relationships based on her technical background and her ability to quickly build a rapport and establish trust.
