Cardno ENTRIX Welcomes Dave DeCaro to the Firm as Senior Consultant

We are pleased to announce the addition of Dave DeCaro as senior consultant within our Northeast and Midwest Regions of the United States. Dave holds more than 18 years of project management and environmental and ecological field experience. Dave will be responsible for managing and helping to grow an environmental permitting and planning practice that specifically targets the energy and power markets in the Northeast and Midwest Regions. He will also facilitate new business opportunities within the upstream and midstream oil and gas markets, power industries with particular focus on transmission facilities, and the planning, permitting, and compliance services associated with new linear projects. Previously Dave has worked for ENTRIX as Project Manager and technologist in support of utility natural gas, electric, transmission, sewer and water, transportation, site development and industrial management projects. John Urbanchuk Presents Bioenergy Feedstocks from Agriculture at Pacific West Biomass Conference

The Pacific West Biomass Conference and Trade Show was held from January 16-18 in San Francisco, CA. Cardno ENTRIX’s John Urbanchuk- Technical Director of Environmental Economics presented Bioenergy Feedstocks from Agriculture: Potential Impact and Implications The update included insight to current biofuel policies, commodities and present and future biofuels technology. John spoke to agencies such as the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Waste Management, California Air Resources Board, United States Department of Energy (US DOE) and the National Biodiesel Board (NBB) to name a few. Beyond the state of the overall biofuel industry his presentation revolved around producing the 21 billion gallons of non-corn starch biofuels and the affects it will have on the biofuel industry. William Bradford Joins Cardno ENTRIX’s Aquatics, Environmental, Engineering Team

Houston, TX (January 17, 2012) - Cardno ENTRIX announced today that Bill Bradford has joined the firm as a Project Engineer within our Northern California Region. As Project Engineer Bill’s primary role will include assisting with field data collection and data analyses and modeling within all aspects of fisheries, hydrology and water quality. Bill has previously worked for the City of Logan Environmental Department and the Space Dynamics/Energy Dynamics Laboratory as an Environmental Engineer. Bill has also worked with Utah Water Research Laboratory and the Idaho Association of Soil Conservation Districts. Bill brings with him a diverse skill set such as instream flow and fish studies, landfill management compliance with Air Quality, Storm Water and Solid Waste Permits, lidar based aerosol detection, water quality, conservation contract compliance and various air qualities monitoring research. We are delighted to announce the addition of Joe Walsh as Senior Project Scientist within the Riverview, FL office. Joe has 11 years combined experience focused on the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan and major land use planning initiatives in Florida. His broad knowledge was accumulated through leadership positions at the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC). Joe has experience and relationships with the South Florida Ecosystem Restoration Task Force Working Group and the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD). He represented the FWC on a variety of technical and policy teams for the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan (CERP) and REstoration-COordination-VERification Program (RECOVER) as well as the SFWMD’s Water Resources Advisory Commission. (January 3, 2012) Cardno ENTRIX is pleased to announce that in lieu of holiday gifts and cards to our clients we have made generous contributions to both the American Red Cross and Water for People. Both of these organizations not only make a difference in a sole person’s life but in the lives of thousands around the globe. A total of $10,000 was donated between the two organizations; $5,000 went to each individual charity. The donation to the American Red Cross was made to the disaster relief fund. The donation was strategically made to this fund because within the past few years the world has been hit by a tremendous amount of natural disasters that will take years of recovery.
