CERCLA Response Litigation
Cardno ENTRIX is highly experienced in providing strategic and litigation support to Potentially Responsible Parties (PRPs) involved in CERCLA-related initiatives. Cardno ENTRIX has established a major presence in the natural resource damage assessment (NRDA) community providing experienced support for contaminated site damage assessments at ground water, surface water, soil, and sediment contamination sites. Over the years, our staff has participated in NRDAs at some 45 sites across the country.
Cardno ENTRIX employs all the requisite resources associated with CERCLA and NRDA-related initiatives in-house—including toxicologists, chemists, ecologists, regulatory experts, economists, restoration engineers and litigation support consultants. Our highly trained professionals have experience with a comprehensive range of litigation response services including the estimation and analysis of potential NRD claims, strategic counseling of alternative settlement positions in Superfund and natural resource damages cases, allocating response and natural resource damages costs among parties, and estimating claims and developing best management practices to optimize environmental performance.
Cardno ENTRIX works with Trustees on cooperative NRDAs; and supports attorneys with experts, data and interpretations necessary for litigation. Throughout either the cooperative NRDA or the litigation process, our consultants are experienced in the technical skills needed to bring difficult CERCLA-related cases to settlement.
